"Beautiful space, service and fantastic fish, chips n salad."
"Home made pies, lovely staff and great prices."
5 We only bought hot chips and a coffee. Chips were awesome, as was the service.
5 Had a 5⭐ Tony's Breaky Pie straight out of the camp oven. Delicious
5 What an amazing establishment! I've been traveling around Australia and the staff here was absolutely lovely. Food and coffee is top shelf - Shepard's Pie+Cappuccino/Flat White really knocked it out of the park. They treated our little 2 and 4 year olds to treats and lovely cuppacino's, really sweet and accommodating. Definitely one of the most memorable experiences of my trip, highly recommended!
5 This has become my second home since moving here from Brisbane and I love the place and the people. The pies are a Tenterfield staple, with my favourite being the lamb and red wine. The coffee's hot and good, well presented without pretension. The staff are excellent. They're efficient and attentive while still being genuine and genuinely happy. Why is that so rare these days? The owner is a gem of local knowledge and wisdom and probably a big reason why the staff are so happy. Highly recommended.
5 The federation pies are the best. They are made onsite and have some great flavours to choose from. We always stop here for a pie when going through. Here is the Steak Diane pie.
5 Federation Pies are the bomb!!!! Coffee is best in town. Great warm cafe with awesome atmosphere!!! Young lady serving with amber hair was very friendly and personable. Thankyou!!!
5 Great service and a fantastic range of pies in café (not on menu in window). Went for coffee, beef and mushroom pie and spinach and feta roll. The latter was superfluous, there must have been 250g of chunky beef in the pie and that was more than sufficient. Great pastry, beef, gravy, coffee and service though my spouse's orange juice needed a reminder. The pie was the equal of one eaten the same time last year 200km south in Uralla from the Pie Mechanic (reviewed then). Both freshly home made with fantastic ingredients. Keep it going and they should be supported.
The pies are a highlight, especially the Beef & Mushroom Pie and Lamb & Red Wine Pie, along with tasty hot chips and great coffee.
You can enjoy both a quick stop for coffee and chips or a relaxed brunch or lunch in a cozy, casual setting.
